"It's just great to have someone who knows all the ins and outs of college admissions walk you through each step of the process. It takes all the pressure out of admissions because's she's always there. Like, I've heard from friends that applying to college feels so overwhelming, but with Anne, you can trust that everything will work out.
Also, she's super helpful in figuring out what you want to do and where you want to go. When I first started meeting with Anne, I had no idea what I really wanted and she helped me find that.
Class of 2026 Student
"Anne did an excellent job working with my daughter, Ana. Ana is a bit shy and was very overwhelmed by the application and scholarship process. Anne talked her through it in a way that changed her discrouagement to excitment. What could have been a very stressful process has turned into a focused and exciting journey towards my daughter's future. I highly recommend Anne!"
Buffy Hoyt - Class of 2026 Parent
“This is one of the best investments you can make to help your child prepare for college. Anne has a wonderful way of breaking down the entire process into smaller, manageable steps, which kept my daughter from feeling overwhelmed. At one point she even said, "Mom, I'm so glad you're paying Ms. Johnson to help me - she's worth every penny!”

About
My name is Anne Johnson
My passion is guiding young people to their best-fit path after high school. I was a high school counselor for 15 years, I have a Master's in School Counseling, and a passion for emotional wellness. I try to be outside and/or active as much as possible. I can't wait to meet you!

How does the process work?
Each family is unique and we start where you are. I incorporate what is important to you and your family's values.
1
Individualized plan for your child
2
A checklist and deadlines ensure everything gets done. A custom spreadsheet ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

3
Clear and consistent communication
I actively work against the prevailing societal norm that a more selective school or path is a "better" choice and instead work to keep emotional health and wellness at the forefront of the process.

My primary focus is to guide students and families to the educational opportunities that allow them to thrive.
Mindful College Admissions
8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades
Mindful Alignment
Non-traditional educational pathways
Find your unique path
My aim in this process is to help your student discover their individual path, which may not necessarily lead to college or perhaps not immediately. I'm here to provide guidance for your student, whether that path involves a gap year, community college, credit recovery options, an apprenticeship, or direct entry into the workforce.
